Club Competition Finals – 6th & 7th September 2025

Our 2025 Club Competition finals took place over the weekend of 6th and 7th September, impeccably organised by our Fixtures Secretary, Ian Grant—no small feat! Ian was ably supported throughout by his wife Jean. Ian’s calm efficiency and good humour helped keep everything running smoothly.

These finals marked the culmination of many weeks of spirited matches, as club members vied not only for recognition as a “decent bowler,” but also for the honour of having their name engraved on one of our coveted cups. These will be formally presented at the Club’s Presentation Lunch on Sunday 19th October.

The finals themselves spanned two full days of competitive play, with matches keenly observed by spectators from the benches around the green and the clubhouse balcony. The atmosphere was electric—plenty of laughter, friendly banter, and shared appreciation for the skill on display. It was bowls at its best: competitive yet convivial.

Refreshments were flowing throughout, with the bar open and tea and coffee on hand—much appreciated by both bowlers and spectators alike.
